Church in the Park FAQs
When and where will this be taking place?
Church in the Park will start July 19th and run through October 25th, every Sunday at 10am. We will be meeting at Darden Towe Park.
What happens if there is bad weather?
We will make the final call each Sunday morning at 7am and post it on our website.
Will any refreshments be provided?
We will be providing ice cold bottled water. This will be handed out by a volunteer with gloves. We also encourage you to bring snacks for your kiddos.
Is childcare available?
We love your kids, but we will be unable to provide any separate programming. However, we will be providing an activity bag for kids as well as a special teaching just for them during the service!
How long is the service?
It will be a 50-60 minute service that will include worship, an abbreviated message, a short message for the kids, and prayer.
Can I arrive early or stay late?
Yes! We encourage you to connect with others as we practice social distancing requirements!
What about seating?
We will not be able to provide any seating for Church in the Park. We ask that you bring blankets and/or lawn chairs. You are also welcome to bring pop-up tents to help with shade if needed.
Does our church need volunteers?
Yes, we do! We will need help transporting equipment, setting up/tearing down, and greeting people. To sign-up to serve please go to: www.cornerstonecommunity.tv/churchinthepark.
Will there still be a church online?
Absolutely! We will continue to offer online services as we have in the past. We will not be recording Church in the Park services. Instead we will pre-record a similar service. This is always a great opportunity to watch with family, friends, or while you are traveling this summer.
Will Church in the Park be live?
Yes, we will have in-person teaching and live worship!
What if I’m not ready to come back but I really miss my Cornerstone Family?
Think about hosting a home gathering with some of your friends and/or family. Worshipping with others makes all the difference! BTW, we miss you, too!
What precautions is Cornerstone taking with regards to COVID-19?
We will continue to follow the CDC guidelines and social distancing requirements. We want you to feel safe while we gather together. Feel free to stay close to family, but with regards to friends, let’s honor the social distance spacing of 6ft.
Based on current CDC guidelines, masks are not required outdoors, but we will make them available.
Hand sanitizing stations will also be available.
